Beautifully illustrated, The Archaeology of the Bible is an ideal resource for anyone interested in learning more about the societies and events of the ancient Near East and how they affect our understanding of the Bible. The book is very well laid-out on glossy paper with great illustrations. Inasmuch as I travelled to Israel and Jordan this summer, it was also fun to recognize some places in his book as "I was there" moments.
