Walker's thoroughly, scholarly exegesis of the NT development of the role of Jerusalem is one of the finest I have found. Walker carefully shows how the NT writers, almost all of them Jews who naturally loved Jerusalem, write of Jerusalem, and how, though their historical love of the city comes through clearly from time to time, they nonetheless unmistakably wrote of the "de-centralization" of Jerusalem in God's soteriological scheme. Walker's work is careful, thorough, scholarly and convincing. Highly recommended.
