The consistent ethic of life: assesing its reception and relevance
This book is an apology by the ethically challenged (10 "ethicists") for the ethically bewildered. By supporting the "seamless garment", the ethicists give moral legitimacy to people who support abortion, those claiming to be authentically pro-life while deriding others who work for the legal protection of the unborn, but may have different prudential judgments about when a war is just, when the death penalty can be used, or what means best helps the poor get out of their poverty.
