The spirit in public theology: appropriating the legacy of Abraham Kuyper, c.1-4
Three strands comprise the thread that runs through this book. The first deals with key themes in the doctrine of the Holy Spirit as it is related to creation (understood as nature or the biophysical order, with implications of history). The second is public theology, particularly in reference to articulating a theological rationale for Christian public engagement in every sphere of life, ranging from politics to the arts. The third is the work of Abraham Kuyper (1837-1920), the Dutch figure who simultaneously served his church and society as a theologian, politician, journalist and ecclesiastical leader..
