Moltmann's "The Crucified God" is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Moltmann's detailed explanation of God's sense of existential suffering with mankind, in light of of Christ's kenosis, provides an inspiring alternative to a God who is apathetic and aloof to man's suffering and also provides a better understanding of theodicy. What impressed me most about Moltmann's work is helping me understand the depth of God's experience of suffering through the death of Christ, Christ's suffering on the cross and his experience of death in which all of this could only be accomplished through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit..
