Fernando Segovia has a lucid, systematic, all-emcompassing mind and his book, Decolonizing Biblical Studies, is jam-packed with wonderful insight. The problem is, he can't write. The book is almost impenetrable. Run-on sentences abound. When I read aloud the last sentence on page 8, for instance, my wife and I laughed until the tears flowed. I don't know who edited this book..
