This is a dense book, a thorough overview of the history of philosophy from a Christian perspective. The editor says in the preface: "The present volume is directed toward upper-level undergraduate and graduate students... I see the present volume as analagous to the 'exiting course' on moral philosophy that most nineteenth-century American colleges required." (p. xii) I spent two years as a philosophy major, and this was certainly "upper-level" stuff..
