The ancient near east, v.1: an anthology of texts and pictures, c.1-2

There was a bible course on line and this book was suggested along with another I still need to order to do the course and get the discipline to even take the course. This is a hard read, but starting to get into it and understanding how it is set up. After only just beginning to read it seems to me to be myths of ancient times that follow the bible. A reference to the bible is found in the margin. I find the bible to be the most fascinating book of all. One word can take you on a long journey of study. Altho we live under the new law, the New Testament...I so love the Old Testament, its history, culture, traditions, etc. For me to better understand the New Testament is to have the understanding of the Old Testament.
