How Karl Barth change my mind
Almost all contemporary theology has been greatly affected by Karl Barth, one of the most prolific theologians, as well as revolutionary in many ways, in this century. This book is a tribute to the 100th anniversary of Barth's birth. The essays have been written out of a variety of theological traditions by those who have been greatly influenced by Barth's thought. Many studied under Barth; others have been his readers and students. In this volume, all take stock of how they have wrestled with or been shaped by Barth's theology.
Some of the essays are intensely personal and give glimpses into Barth's warmth and personable nature. They also weave their own stories about their own theological questioning and development. Sometimes the authors do lapse into what seems like bragging about their personal knowledge and acquaintance with Barth. And sometimes the authors use sophisticated theological language that only the specialist will understand.
