In this book an attempts has been made to present a comprehensive survey of Greek and Roman life in a short space.The Greeks and Romans had their homes in contiguous countries possessing a similar climate and physical structure, and the 'geographical control' imposed upon them a foundamentally like manner of living. Thet came into contact at an early stage of their histories; for several centuries the Greek world remained incorporated in the roman Empire, and eventually all citizens of Greek twons became citizens of Rome.
