Christian counter-culture: the message of the sermon on the mount
This is an excellent book. I've read it twice and I will read it again. I found a copy of it in a used bookstore and it was in pretty good condition. The second time I read it I had to tape the outside of the cover, on the spine, because it was coming off, due to wear. I will be reading it again. The author provides an excellent, well thought-out mediation and commentary on the Sermon on the Mount, which really does sum up the Gospel Life of the follower of Christ in a nutshell. Truly all followers of Jesus are called to the seemingly impossible standards of the Sermon, which is to be perfect as the Father is perfect. He provides sun and rain for the just and the unjust, and we are to love as he loves. It's too bad Christians around the USA who are erecting monuments..
