Greek grammar
"Greek Grammar" is an essential reference grammar for intermediate and advanced learners. This is an recent reprint of the standard advanced textbook for all who want to acquire an in-depth knowledge of Classical Greek. It is based on traditional approaches to learning systematic grammar, with over 1600 point by point sections which cover virtually all aspects of Greek. The sequence is logical; the earlier sections cover the basic parts of speech or writing, with a commendable layout of Greek's complex declensions and conjugations, regular and irregular. The conjectured pronunciation of ancient Greek is covered at the beginning with well-supported arguments. Over half of the book is devoted to syntax and the intricacies of sentence formation and good style, with examples for each point being supplied from many classical authors. This book does not provide exercises nor passages but exclusively concentrates on covering all points of grammar, and includes a table of contents, a list of verbs and their forms and a full section-numbered index.
