Spurgeon: heir of the Puritans
This book shows that Charles Haddon Spurgeon preaching, doctrines, and ministry were firmly based upon, and largely derived from, the great seventeenth-century Puritan Divines in whose works his mind was steeped in doctrines of the Holy Scriptures and the Reformation.
Spurgeon's influence is still very great in many quarters of the Church today. His sermons are being re-published and studied. There is a revived interest in the works of the great Puritans.
