Bruce's goal was to write this in such a way that even a casual reading of it will make it evident how the different sections of Paul's material are connected (Bruce even includes his own original outlines!). It is very interesting to see how Bruce interprets and simplifies some of Paul's difficult passages (cf. 2 Pet 3:15-16), nevertheless, some of Bruce's renderings are puzzling and questionable (but these are few and far in between). I would have given this 5 stars had Bruce included a different translation besides the 1881 RV (Bruce includes this translation so that one can compare his work with the actual Bible).
