This book gives the proper emphasis to the Gospel text by placing it in larger type on the left hand pages with the critical remarks and cross reference in smaller type opposite.
This volume adopts the same format and has been prepared in the same spirit and at the same level as the author's earlier commentary on Mark. It may be added that it likewise shares the same excellent qualities of pedagogical practicality and reliability. It is remarkable how much first-rate commentary has been got into a relatively small book.
