This book will be of interest both to those interested in Anabaptist history and theology as well as those interested in the origins of Covenant Theology. The Covenant Theology of Oecolampadius and Zwingli, who first developed the concepts of the covenant of works, redemption and grace, and the infant baptist theology based on covenant apart from baptismal regeneration, were systematically formulated largely in response to Balthasar Hubmaier's published works on believer-baptism.
