The pilgrim's regress
I have enjoyed Pilgrim's Regress for many years, having read it multiple times. The annotated version is quite helpful in understanding some of the more abstruse references that CSL makes, and the allegory of the story helps to understand Lewis' life, and the life of a seeker (perhaps not a terribly common seeker). CSL also critiques certain attitudes and worldviews which were very common when he was a seeker. They have not all vanished today, or at least, a number have been succeeded by their descendants.
