It is the aim of this study to examine the presents crisis of civilization fron the standpoint of the Christian faith. The present situation witnesses to a profound contradiction in the spirit of man. We are enabled to see to -day those patterns of compromise which lie far back along the pathway we have come, patterns which serve to clarify a lurking ambiguity herefore concealed.
