The fundamentalist: a view from within a response from without
This collection of essays offers a broad spectrum of viewpoints on American Protestant fundamentalism. While none of the contributors is fundamentalist, some understand the movement in more sympathetic terms than others. Thus, one essay presents an almost hostile psychological study of fundamentalism, while another attempts to show why fundamentalists are a necessary corrective to the American political scene.
