Peterhof is located on the southern coastland of the Guulf of Finland. Its parks, created in the course of more than tow centuries, occupy an area of about 1000 hectares. At different times, starting from the period of its foundation by Peter the Great as an offical summer residence, more than ten palaces and a large number of elegant garden pavilions have been put up at Peterhof.
