Matthew Poole is the puritan commentator that Matthew Henry often went to for theological advice, so he comes highly recommended for that reason! Poole is very deep in his commentary and often requires a second and third reading of his comments to fully comprehend them. They are also written in an older form of English, so that makes the reading somewhat more difficult as well. However, the truth gained from a careful read will be well worth the effort. There are three volumes in small print that will cover most areas.
