A biblical theology of the doctrines of sovereign grace, c.1-2
This book is the exact opposite of ALL of that. Zemek is an astounding scholar and amazing biblical linguist. He's taught languages and exegesis for decades at the seminary level and this book reflects his decades of study. He works through all the relevant terms to a doctrinal point (in both Hebrew and Greek) and builds up a comprehensive, exegetically driven understanding of both specific terms and broader concepts (i.e. "forgiveness" or "grace"). Where other more popular books are popcorn theology and candy-corn exegesis, this book is a heaping plate of meat and potatoes.
Zemek is now the undisputed king of word studies, at least in my book. He takes a great and thoroughly biblical look at soteriology, hamartiology and anthropology without leaving any stone unturned. His biblical definitions are from VERY comprehensive study.
